Although I had all of my tiles designed, it wasn't ready for the laser cutter yet. I had to make multiply the tiles to match how many of each there are in a set and combine the vectors into one shape for the laser to engrave.
I also had to outline and strokes and organize the cut file so that it would fit on the 1ft x 2ft sheet of acrylic that I was cutting my tiles out of.
After cutting out all of my tiles I checked each one for imperfections and determined which pieces would need to be recut and aligned the cut file to my remaining acrylic.
I inked each tile with acrylic paints, first doing tests of each color on the wind tiles and then inking one color at a time on every tile until it was completed.
The last step was to glue the blue backing pieces onto each tile with clear gorilla glue and sand the sides with 60 and 1000 grit sandpaper until they were even and smooth before finally removing the film on the acrylic.
